Before writing. Open Greypaint’s Settings and run “Check All Apps Now”. For an install failure, open the update log after selecting Update all and include the failing app, source, and final error message.
Useful details. Include your macOS version, Greypaint version, the app name, and whether it came from Homebrew, the App Store, or the developer’s website. You can attach screenshots or the relevant update-log capture in your email. Please remove private paths or usernames from screenshots.
Common fixes. For Homebrew packages that need administrator approval, retry from Greypaint and accept the standard macOS prompt. If macOS says it prevented Greypaint from replacing an app, open System Settings → Privacy & Security → App Management and enable Greypaint, then retry. For an App Store app, use the App Store button. For a stale result, press the refresh button; manual refreshes query the current catalog.
Greypaint is a small utility made for macOS.
